Phillip Island

Leongatha to Lorne - 324km
Headed back toward the coast and the Bass Highway and headed for Phillip Island to check out the GP track. Had a look at the museum there and Scott had a blast on the Go Karts on a track that is a replica of the main GP track.

From there we got back onto the Bass Highway to Sorrento, avoiding the big city of Melbourne. Caught the ferry from here across to Queenscliff about 40mins boat ride. Then its onto the Great Ocean Road, 243km of rugged coastline, lush forests where just before our stop for the night we are pulled over by Mr Policeman, with his sidearm hanging at his side, he asked for our drivers licences, then questioned how it shows that we have got licences to ride a motorbike, its only shown by and an a or b then he breathalyzed us, only thing we had been drinking was sparkling spring water. Stopped in Lorne a small coastal touristy town. At the motel there is a family of kookaburra that the motel owners feed and they come down onto the fence to get there meat.
Motel Best Western Coachman Inn, Lorne. $110
