Took the bikes out for a ride today to run up a few kilometers. Headed out on the Logan Highway through Ipswich to Warwick. Takes about an hour to get through the built up areas till you are actually in the country. All pretty open straight roads. Scott had said the bikes are not rocket ships but he was wondering why I was not loosing speed going up hills. He was at full throttle and loosing speed. The guy at the shop said yeah we have taken the restrictors out, and taken them for a run around the block, all good. So we swapped bikes, his was gutless as.
Wahoo we come to the Great Dividing Range, nice winding road over the ranges, huh 60km limit and everyone obeys it. Heaps of cops out on the roads. One place there were at least six of them doing random breath tests and one had a mobile speed camera. Had lunch at the McDonald's at Warwick then headed on the A3 to Toowoomba then onto the A2 back toward Brisbane. Passed different sorts of crops growing, like canola, cotton, sunflowers. The hard part was knowing when to get off the motorway when you don't have the sat nav installed yet. Arrived back in the dark about 6.30, dinner served and drinks made Thanks liz. Have clocked up nearly 500km
Thanks Lyndon for the photos
