Mt Gambia, Millicent, Robe, Kingston, Meninge, Elizabeth, over the Murray River, Strathylby, Mt Barker, Adelaide, Port Wakefeld - 572km = total 4742km

Five Australian states and two to go but we have only covered about 1/6 of the distance that we plan to travel. Got out of Mt Gambia early this morning heading around the coastal route. On a roll today up through Millicent, by passing Robe, was told the coffee is not good at that place. Passing many lakes between the road and the coast. There are dairy farms up through here but it looks really hard farming here, its dry, lots of little rocks, not much grass, its hot.

We fuelled up again at Kingston before head ing through the next bit which is salt marshes and salt flats. A few sheep and beef stations along here also.

Turn off to a little town called Elizabeth and had to cross on a ferry over the Murray River. Stopped at Strathylbyn which is on the Fluerieu Peninsula and a wine growing area. We cut across it to head to Adelaide. Onto the Freeway just passed Mt Barker and followed it into Adelaide, highway 1 does not continue through the city so had to changed onto another highway. Found a Kawasaki shop out the other side of the city and stopped to pick up a couple of oil filters for the bikes. Got onto the main highway to Port Augusta but not planning to go into that town instead we stopped off at Port Wakefield on the Yorke Peninsula and will ride across it to catch the ferry from Wallaroo to Lucky Bay.
