Dayboro, Mt Mee

Here we are mixing it with all the other bikers having morning coffee at Dayboro after they been over the Mt Mee road, except we havn't been over it yet, we went the other way.  Cops sitting at the bottom waiting with the camera gun waiting for them as they came down. Neat road but once again the speed limit goes down to 80km then again down to 60KM.

Next it was down through Caboulture and back to Redland Bay for lunch with Paul and Kylie.  Scott plugged the address into the GPS of where to go for lunch as we have not been there before.  Well heading down one road my bike decided to run out of petrol, we had in our heads that they could do 500km on a tank of gas (so we had been told) and and had only done 386km.  Scott sailed on down the road with me wildly waving at him to indicate that I was stopping. I found the reserve switch, don't have that on my road bike at home, only a flashing light.  Without my glasses on couldn't see which was was on.  Anyway it didn't get it going.  Had to dig around in my bag to find my glass, in the mean time I rang Liz, so I would be able to find my way to lunch.  Then I got my glasses on and discovered I had the reserve tap the wrong way, helps if you can see.  Bike started wohoo.  Still no Scott, what to do.  Rang Liz again to say got bike going, had rung Scott but of course he not gonna answer while he on the bike. So I headed off down the road, no idea where to go, saw sign for Victoria Point so headed that way, but ended up down round where the ferry goes out.  So looked for main road which was Redland Bay Mt Cotton Road, found a BP to fill up.  Rang Scott again, no answer, rang Liz, she sent Lyndon to get me, I was only about 1km from them. Then Scott rang, I was suitably told to stay on the track, he had been back 15-20km, thought he would have noticed sooner if I was not following huh. So now, the rule is STAY WHERE YOU ARE (no he actually said, Stay on track, but I didn't know what the track was) Live and learn.
